Breast Augmentation
Breast Augmentation is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breasts. This is done to improve the body contour of a woman who feels her breast size is too small, restore breast volume after pregnancy, or balance a difference in breast size.
Dr. Rosenthal's recommended reading for breast augmentation patients:
Breast Lift (mastopexy)
Breast Lift (mastopexy) is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts. Many women seek the procedure to restore the breasts after pregnancy and nursing have left them with stretched skin and less volume in their breasts. The procedure can also reduce the size of the areola (the darker skin surrounding the nipple). A breast lift alone will improve the position and shape of the breast, but will not affect the size. The procedure can be done alone or at the same time as a reduction or augmentation.
Breast Reduction (reduction mammoplasty)
Breast Reduction (reduction mammoplasty) is a surgical procedure to remove excess fat, glandular tissue, and skin from the breasts, making them smaller, lighter, and firmer. The procedure can correct a variety of medical problems that are caused by the excessive weight of the breasts, which cause excessive back and neck strain, chronic headaches, and shoulder indentations. It can also ease skin irritation, skeletal deformities and breathing problems.

Breast Reconstruction
Breast Reconstruction is a procedure to reconstruct and restore a breast that has been removed due to cancer or other serious medical problems. A variety of surgical procedures are available to accomplish this goal and create a breast that can come close in form and appearance to matching a natural breast.
Dr. Rosenthal's recommended reading for breast reconstruction patients:
Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)
Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is a surgical procedure to remove sagging skin and excess fat from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen. Weight loss and pregnancy are the most common causes of a loss of abdominal shape. The abdomen will be firmer, tighter and flatter. In addition, the waist will be narrower as well. "Mini"-abdominoplasties and endoscopic abdominoplasties (done with a smaller inicision and an operating camera) are also an option for the patient with lesser abdominal complaints.
Liposuction or Lipoplasty
Liposuction or Lipoplasty is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck.
Upper Arm Lift (brachioplasty)
Upper Arm Lift (brachioplasty) is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. Moderately large upper arms many be thinned by liposuction alone, but in the case of significant weight loss or when the natural aging process has left arms loose and flabby, an arm lift can sculpt and tighten the area.
